You will lead the project management and execution of strategic initiatives across the iA Wealth organization.

What you will be doing:

Lead the project management and execution of strategic initiatives across the iA Wealth organization. This is a team comprised of internal and external resources in enterprise-wide strategic initiatives with multiple work streams and inter-dependencies, with focus on the following:

  • Project management and execution
  • Implementation planning
  • Business case development

In addition, you will also:

  • Be the face of the strategic initiative to executive sponsors (EVP Wealth, President of iA Securities, President of Investia, President of iA Clarington, Head of iA Wealth Marketing, etc.)
  • Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge, insights, and delivery-excellence best practices
  • Work with executive sponsors and key stakeholders to develop expected initiative outcomes, related milestones and resource requirements and limitations, including time to delivery and budget where applicable
  • Work with internal partners (such as Operations, Compliance, Marketing, Practice Management, and iA Wealth business lines) to identify any operational or other challenges (such as critical risk issues and enterprise dependencies) that may negatively affect the outcome of an initiative and develop detailed plans to address and mitigate those challenges
  • Manage work stream leads from the Communications and Marketing Departments to develop executive, advisor and client communications related to specific initiatives as required
  • Manage work stream leads from Practice Management to develop training and support materials for advisors and clients related to ongoing initiatives
  • Engage with all other departments and business lines of iA Wealth (Compliance, Legal, Operations, iA Securities, iA Clarington, FundEX, Investia etc.) to assess the need for support, process management, and change management related to all ongoing initiatives and manage work stream leads assigned to each initiative
  • Apply delivery methodology and change management best practices, including robust QA and testing where applicable, prior to rollout of any new business activity
  • Manage a team of analysts to conduct current state, future state, and gap assessments of policies, procedures, and processes related to the initiative
  • Proactive and ongoing business casing of proposed and ongoing initiatives; with analysis including, but not limited to strategic fit, target advisor/client segments, potential alternative approaches, manufacturing requirements, pricing, distribution, marketing, business risk and P&L forecasts
  • Maintain a focus on excellent advisor and client experiences as well as “lean” process optimization as key drivers and outcomes of initiative where relevant
  • Work closely with executive management to align the initiatives with overall business strategic direction and ensure that the initiatives align with the firm’s priorities and risk appetite
  • Hold team members to high performance standards while leading by example
  • A client-centric standard of delivery with a commitment to exceed partner standards and expectations
  • Lead team members who operate in different cities while ensuring team alignment and cohesion

What you have:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the wealth management industry or strategy and financial services consulting
  • Minimum of 7 years leading large enterprise-wide strategic initiatives with multiple work streams and inter-dependencies across all disciplines of wealth management and financial services
  • Deep experience in strategic planning and demonstrated consistent, timely and impactful delivery of business solutions through major, enterprise-wide projects
  • Strong analytical skills in a wealth management and/or financial services context
  • Strong understanding of wealth business and industry trends
  • Ability to rapidly build knowledge, understand critical issues, analyze and formulate recommendations
  • Excellent relationship building/management skills and executive stakeholder management
  • Excellent ability to lead a team and work under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Impactful executive-level communication (oral, written)
  • Ability to influence and build consensus among executive leaders
  • Advanced degree in business or management preferred
