Description

We are currently looking for a Sales Assistant to join the team on a 1 Year Contract.

Reporting to the Group Service Manager, Ontario and Atlantic Canada, the Sales Assistant is a fast paced, multifaceted and dynamic position.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting two to three Account Executives and occasionally other leaders within the office, managing a variety of administrative tasks.
  • Collects and compiles weekly and monthly sales reporting and provides to the Regional Director on a timely basis.
  • Assist in the preparation of finalist presentation material which could include revising a Power Point deck, preparing handouts, creating administration binders and more.
  • Daily interaction with advisors and brokers. Must be comfortable collecting information, problem solving and gathering responses from internal iA business partners, and then communicating the information back to the broker or advisor.
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage time effectively as the Sales Assistant is often called upon to execute last minute tasks.
  • Assisting with the preparation of meeting material, expenses, filing, coordination of Agent of Record changes are other tasks regularly performed by the Sales Assistant.


Qualifications

  • College Diploma and 1-2 years of related experience
  • LOMA, CEBS group insurance courses an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team player
  • Client service oriented
  • Shows initiative, strong problem-solving and organization skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
  • Good working knowledge of all aspects of group benefit insurance
